Hi there! I was born and raised in Northern California but spent 19 years on the East Coast after getting my graduate degree in Boston. I returned to California in 2018, and it feels like I have come home! I received my M.A. in Counseling Psychology with the goal of becoming a high school counselor. However, after I graduated, I took a staffing role within the HR Department. My exposure in this role got me excited about a career in HR, and that is when I changed my career path and became passionate about HR, even though I really enjoyed working with adolescents. I feel grateful that I can combine my two passions in my role at EF Specialists.
I have over 20 years of experience in leading and managing all aspects of human resources. I pride myself on being a compassionate, dedicated, and loyal employee champion and HR leader. I have a passion for creating and fostering a diverse, inclusive, and positive company culture that supports employee engagement, retention, and development. I have diverse experience in the areas of employee relations, compensation and benefits, payroll, performance management, policy design and administration, compliance, succession planning, talent acquisition and development, vendor management, corporate insurance, and company risk management.
My mission in my work at EF Specialists is to support their existing positive and wonderful company culture and values, assist the employees in any way that I can so they are able to continue to focus on their important roles in the company, and make sure that I am also supporting the leadership of the company in any way that I can. I am excited to work at a company whose mission really speaks to me. I am grateful to be a part of an incredible team of people who strive to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives.
