Jan joined Executive Functions in 2021 when the company was first getting launched bringing with her more than 20 years of experience in office and small business management. At Executive Functions, Jan heads up HR, Business Compliance, Client billing and Payroll. She handles all operational processes and works closely with the team and CEO to keep operations running smoothly and efficiently.
She uses her skills of managing small businesses to assist companies with their operations, financials, and business compliance.Her previous job before Executive Functions was Vice President of Operations at Eldercare Specialists in Corte Madera, CA where she was Vice President of Operations. She has a wide range of skills that include; preparing quarterly financials and organizing end of the year reports for income tax preparation, marketing and advertising. She is proficient in a wide range of programs including; Mac and PC platforms, QuickBooks, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), BambooHR, Basecamp and Google Workspace.
Her professional experience also includes commercial and fine art photography. She was the co-founder and partner at MGI Studio in San Francisco, a commercial art studio that provided set design and painted backdrops for use in films, still photography, television productions and videos. MGI’s client list included HBO, MTV Lucas Films, KQED Television, Apple Computers and the San Francisco Giants and Forty-Niners. She studied photojournalism and handled all the photography at the studio including photographing the inventory of over 400 backdrops, and designing promotional materials for marketing. Prior to that she was the Office Manager for Launchsquad a PR firm in San Francisco specializing in Technology companies and the Office Manager for the Association of Media Photographers at the Northern California headquarters in San Francisco. She has her BA degree with a special degree in photojournalism from San Francisco State University. Additionally she studied small business management at UC Berkeley Extension.
She is a California native and has lived in the Bay Area all of her adult life. She now lives in Sonoma county and enjoys mountain biking, hiking and spending time with her family.
